The Devil's Playground was launched in 2005 in Oak Lawn, IL. For over a decade, it evolved and grew to be one of the most well known local home haunts. Hundreds of visitors, often packed in limos and buses would unload in front of the house and walk the perimeter of the fence, gasping, shrieking, and jumping as they passed each creepy, unpredictable "resident" of the Devil's Playground. Owner, designer, builder, Keith Janowski hand-crafts many of the props, built the pneumatic components, and operates the yard every year. In 2015, Keith teamed up with Renee Basick (for both the yard and life) and began adding some fresh attractions (the refurbished, hand-painted Scary-go-Round, the LED-powered Gates of Hell). The Devil's Playground took 2017 off to regroup in their new, expanded location (new house!) in Flossmoor, IL. 2018 was the first year in the new abode, with new neighbors (both living and dead), and a whole new lay out. Same passion and dedication! Donations are always welcome and go to benefit Haunters Against Hate non-profit organization.
